H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana's former Vice President, chaired the Economic Management Team and spearheaded the country's digital transformation. He holds economics degrees from Buckingham University (BSc), Oxford University (MSc), and Simon Fraser University (PhD). His distinguished career includes academic positions at Baylor, UBC, and Oxford universities, along with serving as Ghana's Central Bank Deputy Governor (2006-2008) and African Development Bank's Zimbabwe Representative (2011). A prolific author and respected economist, Dr. Bawumia is known for implementing transformational policies that created jobs and positioned Ghana for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, while maintaining a reputation for integrity and innovation.
