Amanda Nyang’oro

Amanda Nyakela Nyang’oro is originally from Tanzania and is passionate about uplifting African creatives and empowering them to build their brands within and beyond the continent, particularly in the music and TV space. Her career aim is to help develop the infrastructure and network of agents needed to support Africa’s fast-growing creative and entertainment economy.
She is currently at Wasserman Music, working with the Brand Partnerships team to facilitate collaborations between artists and brands. She is also an emerging content producer with several projects under her belt, notably The Matumbilas, an animated television series screened at Pixar Studios and multiple festivals.
Previously, she worked at WME’s marketing agency, 160over90, in influencer marketing, strategizing campaigns that connected brands with content creators. She was also part of WME’s inaugural Impact Fellowship class, designed to cultivate and empower the next generation of industry executives.
