Mariana Petrei

Mariana Petrei is a Senior Investment at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. She leads investments in agribusiness across Africa. She has worked extensively developing farmer financing schemes, particularly in the coffee sector. Mariana has over twenty years of progressive cross-border investment and private equity experience. Prior to joining IFC, she was an Associate at Leucadia National Corporation (now Jefferies Financial Group, Inc, NYSE: JEF). At Leucadia she conducted acquisitions of companies in the real estate and healthcare sectors, among others. Prior to joining Leucadia she was a partner of Comunia.com, an HM Capital Partners venture focused on group buying in Latin America. Prior to joining Comunia, Mariana worked for PCFG Advisory SA, the private equity arm of the largest diversified conglomerate in Argentina where she executed M&A in Argentina and Brazil. She speaks Spanish, French and English and conversational Portuguese.
