Abdou Diop


Abdou Soulèye DIOP is a Partner at Forvis Mazars, a leading international audit, tax, and advisory firm, and Managing Partner in Morocco. He is a member of the Group Governing Board, the Board of Forvis Mazars in Africa and the Middle East, and is in charge of Business Development for the Group in this region.
With over thirty years of experience in advisory and audit in Morocco and across Africa, Abdou Diop has worked with public interest entities, international donors, and governments on strategy, sector reforms, and development policies. He has compelling experience supporting Moroccan companies' expansion in Africa, including banks, insurance companies, telecommunications operators, industrial firms, and real estate companies.
Abdou Diop chairs the "Africa" committee of the Moroccan Employers' Association (CGEM), strengthening economic relations between Morocco and its African partners. He is a key actor in developing Moroccan private sector strategy in Africa, having carried out several actions to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and African countries. He advises many African governments at the highest level on public policies and national or sectorial strategies.
Recognized for his expertise in African economies, Abdou Diop frequently speaks and moderates at major national and international forums and conferences. He is much requested for analyses, interviews, and opinion pieces by various media outlets. He is recognized by stakeholders across Africa as a leading expert in the African economy and regional integration, has received numerous awards and titles, and is recognized as a personality transforming Africa.
Fluent in French, English, Arabic, and Hindi, Abdou Diop is also a well-known author, having published books including: Senegal at reach, the lion out of its den; 100 reform projects for an emerging Senegal; and Transforming public institutions into public companies: issues, problems, and approach.
