Habiba Suleiman

Habiba Suleiman

Habiba is Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at the Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group. Her decade-long career spans agribusiness, investment banking, impact investment, development research, gender, and social inclusion.

She has served on several government committees, including the Nigerian Domestic and External Engagement committees on the AfCFTA, and as a consultant for the NOTN on free trade concessions. She is a private sector representative on the ARF, sits on the KTDMB, and serves on the ERO and NABG boards.

In 2023, Donors for Africa recognized her as one of 50 leading African Women in Development. In 2020, she led the pioneer $10 million USAID-West African Trade Hub partnership, supporting over 10,000 smallholder rice farmers with agri-financing, extension support, capacity building, climate change adaptation, financial inclusion, and mechanization.

Habiba holds an MSc in Policy & Development Studies, a Master’s in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, and a bachelor’s in international studies. She is an Oracle Certified Associate, a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, and holds an ACCA diploma.
