Joshua Uche

Joshua Uche is a Nigerian American linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs. Born in Miami, Florida to Nigerian immigrant parents, Uche showed passion and skill in football, entering the Christopher Columbus High School Hall of Fame and earning himself a football scholarship to attend the University of Michigan. In 2019, he was named defensive MVP. 

Uche was then drafted by the New England Patriots where he played from 2020-2024, and was subsequently traded to the Kansas City Chiefs late last year.

In addition to his dedication to football, Uche is also passionate about expanding opportunities for youth and African athletes. He runs the Josh Uche Foundation which empowers and provides at-risk youth with education advancement, resource programming, mentorship and mental health empowerment. Uche also advocates for talent development pipelines that connect the continent to global sports markets.
