Seni Sulyman
Seni is the Founder of Talstack, a venture-backed startup building an all-in-one platform that enables businesses to upskill their employees with tools, content, courses and insights from top African professionals and entrepreneurs. He is also the Founder of Black Ops, a private network of top African operators playing a critical role in building and scaling great companies. He also advises and coaches executives and business leaders on building effective organizations through a mix of strategy, people, culture and operational excellence.
Seni was previously an executive at Andela, a venture-backed unicorn where he held multiple roles as Director of Operations, Country Director and later Vice President of Global Operations. He grew global operations by 400% and led several organizations including talent supply, recruitment and growth, marketing, finance, people/HR, corporate travel, and country operations across Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, and Egypt.
Under his leadership, Andela achieved several milestones including emerging as the #1 Best place to work in Nigeria and Africa (as Country Director) and receiving the US secretary of state Award for Corporate Excellence.
Before Andela, Seni built a new business jet airline in Nigeria for Bristow Group in a record 12 months and ran sales, marketing and operations, delivering an industry-leading 98% on-time-departure record and the highest rated service experience. His prior career spans across roles at Bain & Company in Chicago where he helped a CPG company identify 500 million dollars in operational savings and Hewlett-Packard in Silicon Valley where he developed strategies to grow the multi-billion-dollar technology services division.
Seni is passionate about building high performing organizations and developing a community of strong operators and leaders. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
